Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you use PCdle. By playing, creating an account or entering a giveaway you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
PCdle is a free daily guessing game about PC hardware. We may add, change or remove modes, categories and features, and we may pause the service for maintenance. Hardware specifications are researched from manufacturers’ published information and reputable reviews, but may contain errors; please tell us if you find one. Nothing in the game is buying advice.
Accounts
An account is optional. If you create one, keep access to your sign-in method secure and choose a display name that is not offensive, misleading or someone else’s identity. We may remove a display name or suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Fair play
You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts or automated requests to play, guess or inflate statistics;
- try to discover answers by probing, scraping or reverse-engineering the service;
- interfere with the service, its security or other players; or
- use multiple accounts to gain an advantage in a leaderboard or giveaway.
We may reset scores, remove leaderboard entries or disqualify giveaway entries that break these rules.
Giveaways
Each giveaway has its own terms, linked from its page, covering eligibility, how points are earned, prizes, how winners are chosen and the sponsor. Those terms apply in addition to these and take priority for that giveaway. Entry is free and never requires a purchase or subscribing to email.
Intellectual property
The game, its design, code, puzzles and text belong to the operator or its licensors. You may share your results using the built-in share feature. Product names, logos and images are trademarks or copyright of their respective owners and are used only to identify the products; PCdle is not affiliated with or endorsed by any hardware manufacturer.
If you believe something on PCdle infringes your rights, email us with the material and your claim and we will review it promptly and remove it where appropriate.
Links to retailers
After a puzzle we may show links to search for the product at online retailers. Some links may be affiliate links, which can earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Retailers’ own terms and privacy policies apply on their sites.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the service is provided free of charge and “as is”, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of streaks, statistics or game progress.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal information.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the effective date when we do; continuing to use PCdle after that means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of that jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections your local law gives you.
